Meet Kelsey Gillespie! - Your beauty artist & the owner of CatEyeStrophic Beauty. Kelsey was born & raised in Manitoba, Canada. Kelsey loves lashing, brows, trying out new beauty products/services, social media marketing, her 3 cats, her boyfriend Michel, going to the gym, making art & hanging out with her friends/family. Kelsey is proud to be a Red River Métis female entrepreneur.

Kelsey graduated from Red River College with a Business Administration Diploma (marketing stream) in 2019. She was enrolled in hair school, but was scared to commit financially. She entered into a 4 year career in banking instead. Kelsey always wanted to have her own business. She thought about making pretzels, sewing scrunchies, learning book keeping & more. In the summer of 2022 lashing caught her eye & she went all in. Lashing was everything she knew she would love about doing hair. She could provide a beauty service for clients & make them feel beautiful. She took 3 lash certifications, incorporated her business, bought a recliner, square machine & lash supplies. Since then Kelsey has taken 2 sanitization courses, a 4 in 1 lash lift course, another lash lift course, a 4 in 1 brow course, a waxing course, & Jelly Academy X MMF Marketing Boot Camp.

Kelsey & Michel have 3 cats, Nala, Bandit, & Coconut (Coco). She wanted to name her business something fun, memorable & bold. “CatEye” is an eyelash extension style, & catastrophic is a bold word. That’s how CatEyeStrophic Inc. was named.

Kelsey loves all sorts of lash styles, but when it comes to brows she prefers natural looks. She wants to make sure her clients are comfortable & leave feeling beautiful.
