“Certified lash technician Kelsey Gillespie was able to transition from full-time employment to pursue her business endeavours with mentorship from Laura Novak, a fellow Red River Métis esthetician and entrepreneur. Like the two business owners, Red River Métis women entrepreneurs have received commercial financing, workshops and networking, and grant and mentorship offerings through the Louis Riel Capital Corporation's (LRCC) Métis Women Entrepreneurship (MWE) program.”

“Since enrolling in the program, these exceptional entrepreneurs have had the opportunity to build a bond that has shaped their perception of the business world, benefitting them as both mentors and mentees. With Novak's help, Gillespie has been able to develop a strategy that allows her to commit herself entirely to her growing business.”
